The State Treasury and/or Finance Department is responsible for the
general accounting functions of the State Government of Airai,
including: budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, procurement &
supply, receipts of regulated fees, retention, and disbursement of the funds of the Government
of Airai. Disbursement of funds shall be made only for the purposes
specifically authorized by the State Legislature. An inspection and
audit of the revenues and expenditures of the Government of the
State of Airai is conducted annually as required by the laws of
Airai State and the Republic of Palau.
The State Treasury and/or Finance Department of Airai State
Government is located in the Main Office of Airai State Government
at Oberaod, Ngerusar Hamlet, Airai State. The Finance Department is
currently operated with five staff of Airai State Government namely Ms.
Wanda Adolf, Treasurer/Budget Officer, Ms. Evelyn G. Villarin,
Accountant, Ms. Dahlia N. Sakuma, Procurement/Filing Clerk, Ms.
Luzviminda De Leon, Collection Officer, and Mr. Sengebau Masami,
Property Custodian. The operation of the State Treasury and Finance
Department is under the supervision of the Governor of Airai State.
