CURRENT PROJECTS

Currently, the Airai State Planning Commission (ASPC) had effectively developed and completed the first and second phases of the Master Plans Tasks, which is the First Draft Report of the Master Development Plans for Airai State, after a thorough research and study by the members.  As a second phase of the Master Plan Tasks, an arrangement and scheduling of Public Hearings and Consultations was in progress and completed recently.  The Final Draft Report of the Master Development  Plans is still yet to be concluded after the conduction of public hearings and further study necessary to improve and complete the development of the Master Development Plans Report.  Lastly, ASPC anticipates to finalize and submit the Master Development Plans Report to the 5th Olbiil ra Ngerchumelbai (Airai State Legislature) for adoption into law.

On May 18-28, 2009, the Airai State Planning Commission conducted Public Hearings on the Development of the Master Plan in every hamlet of Airai State from Ordomel to Ngetkib.  During the hearings held, most of the traditional leaders of every village and also the general public attended and voiced out most of their concerns and/or recommendations to improve the developments of Airai.   In retrospect, the public hearings was successfully completed by the ASPC with resourceful feedbacks from the people of Airai.
